Documented game progress
The reviewed upstream README describes two games brought up with the same porting pipeline. The table records what the maintainer reports; it is not a community compatibility database or an independent benchmark. Neither a booting title screen nor a short combat demonstration establishes an entire game can be completed.
| Game | Reported progress | Reported performance | Context |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gran Turismo 4 | Races demonstrated | 50 FPS · 2× native | PAL release · author’s laptop · Chrome |
| God of War II | Combat reported | 60 FPS · Native | Heavy combat · author’s laptop · Chrome |
A regional release matters. The Gran Turismo 4 figure is for a PAL release and therefore should not be compared directly with a 60 Hz title as if both had the same target. Resolution, GPU and the scene being rendered also change the workload. Preserve all those conditions when discussing a result.
How to read a compatibility report
Record the repository commit and game revision first. Then distinguish boot, menu navigation, movie playback, sound, gameplay, controls and memory card behavior. A useful report says where the game stopped and includes a reproducible log. A vague “works” label hides the part another user needs to reproduce.
For a new title, run the exploration process and inspect the captured frames. A missing syscall or IOP library entry is a runtime implementation gap; a missing function address can instead require more exploration. Those are different problems and need different changes. See the troubleshooting guide for the exact log families described upstream.
Other PS2 titles
No additional game is labeled compatible here without a primary project report. The upstream author expects other games to encounter unimplemented OS services, IOP libraries or GS features. The existence of an ISO or a build script is not a support claim. Separate projects and forks may use the same vocabulary but cannot be silently added to this project’s results.
A practical private test checklist
- Record the commit, disc revision, operating system, browser and GPU.
- Test boot, menus and one repeatable gameplay scene at native resolution.
- Verify sound, controller input and an in-game memory card save.
- Export a backup card, reload the same origin and verify the save.
- Keep a precise stopping point and relevant log lines if it fails.
Do not distribute the ISO, generated C++ or game WebAssembly when sharing a report. Public bug reports can describe the environment and failure without bundling copyrighted game data.
